Adult & Pediatric Counseling Specialists PLLC
Repairing and preventing emotional harm through a unique balance of empathetic listening and creative counseling strategies.
Kathy Grosse, MCHS
Philosophy: I believe that a person does not need to navigate challenging times alone. With the help of the right therapist, approach, and willingness to explore change we can let go of negative feelings and experience happiness. I have a passion for making others feel heard, validated, and supported as they navigate life.
Style: I understand the decision to start therapy can be a challenging one. My style is compassionate, warm, and empathic. In a non-judgmental, safe environment we can collaborate and set meaningful goals that are suited to your specific needs
Specialties: I serve children, teens, young adults, couples, and families using several modalities including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Multidimensional Family Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy.
Experience: I work with individuals of all ages and an array of struggles, including mood disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, family conflict, life transitions, and intellectual disabilities including autism spectrum disorder. I have a strong background working with school-age children to strengthen their self-esteem and navigate social dilemmas, school pressures, and career counseling. I offer a person-centered approach and always include families of children in the process. I also have experience working with individuals navigating divorce and other personal relationships.
